The Union (CWA) and Company (CenturyLink/Lumen) kicked off bargaining on Monday, January 18, 2021, and continued throughout the week. The Union presented 21 proposals and the Company presented 21 proposals.
Sister and Brothers, The Local Election Committee counted the ballots regarding the Tentative Agreement on a 3-year contract that was recently negotiated. The contract has been ratified. The company will begin working with payroll to get the new wages and all retro on your paychecks. Should you have any further questions, use your Union structure to get them answered. After numerous weeks of Effects Bargaining we are pleased to announce that CWA and AT&T have successfully concluded negotiations.

On Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 7 PM, there was a contract explanation call held with the members of local 6171. The Highlight Sheet that will accompany your ballot in the mail is posted here as well. Should you have any questions, reach out to your Union leadership to get answered.

Both sides continued to work throughout the weekend trying to beat the expiration of the contract. There was a lot of movement made but there are still a couple of items that remain outstanding preventing a Tentative Agreement. It appears we will not get there by midnight but both sides want to continue to get there but will call it off for the evening and continue on Monday. For now, it will be business as usual for the membership and we will see what transpires on
