Windstream Bargaining Report #5
The full committee met all day today. The Union passed several revised proposals on Job Bidding, Bereavement Leave, Termination Allowance and Duration. Several new union proposals were passed as well to include: GPS, Jobs for Future, MOA on Overtime, Employee Telephone Concession, and Neutrality.
Job Training was discussed at length along with the Common Interest Forum. The Company passed a counter to the GPS proposal. A discussion was also held regarding the union’s proposals on Job Bidding, Qualifications, Training, and Seniority.
Agreement was reached on the Medical Reimbursement (FSA). An agreement with modifications of several MOAs was reached as well. These included FMLA, Force Adjustment Boundaries, Force Adjustment Bumping Restrictions, and Non-Precedent Setting Agreement.
The full committee also discussed the Company’s proposal to change their name from Valor to Windstream Communications SW. The committees will meet again on January 19th.
