Verizon Bargaining Report #7

Your Union Bargaining Committee met with Verizon to go over proposals that the Union had

presented to the Company. After a very contentious conversation with the Company’s Committee

over our proposals, they will be taking another look at them. We also passed a counter proposal

on the Company’s Healthcare. As we move closer to the expiration of the CBA your Committee

will be working late nights and throughout the weekend to ensure we have what we believe is a

FAIR contract to present the members of this local. This is a Company that has been crying the

blues over cost. Hard to take them seriously about cost savings when they just spent 4.5 BILLION

to buy Yahoo! In addition to buying 151 acres of land in Irving, TX to grow a Verizon facility.
