CWA/Apple Retail Bargaining Report #4 Penn Square Location, Oklahoma City, OK

Today the CWA Bargaining team continued negotiations with the Apple Bargaining team in Oklahoma City, OK. We began the morning by receiving counter proposals from the Company on classification of employees & nondiscrimination. The sad part was these counter proposals completely gutted the original proposals that were passed by the Union and refer directly to their current policies.

CWA/Apple Retail Bargaining Report #3 Penn Square Location, Oklahoma City, OK

Today the CWA Bargaining team continued negotiations with the Apple Bargaining team in Oklahoma City, OK. The morning began with the Union receiving a Management Rights proposal from Apple. This initial proposal directly conflicts with many of our twenty-eight (28) proposals; however Apple stated that they had this proposal drafted prior to the start of bargaining in anticipation of passing it. We are preparing several questions to ask during tomorrow’s session in preparation of a future counter proposal from the Union.

CWA/Apple Retail Bargaining Report #2 Penn Square Location, Oklahoma City, OK

Today the CWA Bargaining team continued negotiations with the Apple Bargaining team in Oklahoma City, OK. We presented eleven (11) new proposals that would contractually address compensation (several specific items including bilingual pay), fixed sick time, fixed vacation time based on seniority, and language protecting existing benefits and 401K contributions to mention the highlights.

CWA/Apple Retail Bargaining Report #1 Penn Square Location, Oklahoma City, OK

Today the CWA Bargaining team opened contract negotiations with Apple Incorporated in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We were able to present seventeen (17) proposals which will address many concerns and issues we have heard from the bargaining unit employees. Some of the proposals presented today included seniority, recognition as a Union workforce, grievance procedure with arbitration, protections in the event of a surplus, and language on any job vacancies or openings.
