Windstream Bargaining Report #1
On January 28, 2014, the CWA Bargaining Committee met with the Windstream Bargaining Committee. Opening introductions and statements were given from both committees. The company proposed and explained 17 economic and non-economic changes to the contract. The CWA Bargaining Committee proposed 11 economic and non-economic changes to the contract. The company’s proposals range from vacation, wages, lodging, group health insurance and pension. The CWA Bargaining Committee’s proposals range from management’s rights, wages, absence from duty, work schedules, overtime differentials. The Bargaining Committee is reviewing the Company’s proposals and will meet again with the Company on January 29, 2014. Your bargaining committee asks that you get engaged in this process and do any activities asked of you during these negotiations.
