Windstream Bargaining Report #1

Opening contract negotiations were held in Dallas, Texas for CWA Local 6171 and Windstream. Your committee consists of Executive Vice President Milton Grant, Jr., Secretary-Treasurer Linda James, Woods AVP Mark Slagle, Oklahoma AVP Dick Frierson and District 6 Chair Ann-Margaret Sánchez-Tovar. The Windstream committee consists of George Winfrey – HR Manager, Ginny Stover, and Mike Beggs. The Windstream Chair Kathy Warn was unable to attend due to bad weather.

Milton Grant and Ann-Margaret made opening statements in support of our retirees and reaching a fair and equitable contract.

Proposals were passed by both committees.  December 16, 2010 will be a work day for your Union Committee to study the Company’s proposals.

The joint committee is scheduled to meet again on Monday, January 10, 2011.
