Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #72

There was no meeting with the Company today and at this time there have been no further changes. The Committee continued reviewing and analyzing the proposals the Company has put before us while we continue to be very disappointed in the greed that the Company continues to show. With the 3rd quarter earnings being reported today this only proves that we work for a VERY profitable company. Verizon Communications, Inc. posted a 16% increase in quarterly profit. Verizon reported it was on track to meet 2012 financial goals. They went on to report a 4.6% percent year over year increase in Consumer revenues; the highest in decades, Consumer ARPU (average revenue per user) up 10.3% year over year to $103.86.
Make no mistake, this company has the ability to bargain a fair contract, they are just choosing not to. We continue to ask, “Where’s the Fairness?”
