Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #60
The Bargaining Committee worked all day and late into the night and tried to reach an agreement. The Company has shown no willingness to address your needs. All of the retrogressive items are still on the table and the Company has shown no willingness to move toward the union on any item. The Union and the Company have agreed to “Stop the Clock.” Stop the clock means everything stays in tack but it gives a more definite deadline in hopes that we can reach a fair and just contract. The “stop the clock” expires at 6:00 pm Friday, October 5th 2012. Stay informed with all the mobilization activities.
