Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #48

Today the Committee met to continue the bargaining process. The Union presented a counter to Company Proposal #25, Sickness and Disability for Buried Service Wire. The Union requested more information on Company Proposal #5, Cross Functional Work Sharing. In the meeting, the Union demanded bargaining over the changes the Company is trying to implement in the DRC. It is the Company’s intention to have dispatch clerks takes inbound calls from customers. The Union feels that this is a mandatory subject of bargaining. This would be a change in terms and conditions of employment. Your Committee continues to work toward a fair and just contract for the entire bargaining unit. Remember to wear Red on Thursday and Black on Friday.
