Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #30

Your Bargaining Committee has worked to narrow the large gap between the Company and the members. To date the Union and the Company have Tentative Agreements on 30 Memorandums of Agreement. Your Bargaining Committee has presented the Company with 34 proposals and has received 8 counters and has Tentative Agreements on 3.

The Company has 28 proposals on the table, most are seriously retrogressive items. The Bargaining Committee has countered 4 proposals and have Tentative Agreements one 1. 

Your Committee would like to thank the members for the strong and continued support you have shown. We know this round of bargaining is difficult, our brothers and sisters in the east have been going through this for over a year and have many of the same issues we are fighting. Remember that for you the member; the Bargaining Committee would rather be slow and right rather than fast and wrong. Please stay engaged in all of the Mobilization actives as we move through this process. Remember to wear Red on Thursdays and Black On Fridays.
