Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #28
Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company today. We discussed Company Proposal #15 concerning “Retrogressive” Proposal on Pension benefits. We had much discussion and presented the Company with questions to clarify the effects on current members and we also discussed Company Proposal #16 concerning Sickness and Disability. In the afternoon we met again with the Company to discuss the Buried Service Wire Contract. The Company presented Company Proposal #25 concerning short term disability “Retrogressive”, Company Proposal #26 concerning Group Insurance “Retrogressive”, Company Proposal #27 concerning Dental Plan, and Company Proposal #28 concerning Comprehensive Medical Plan “Retrogressive”. The Company also presented a Counter proposal to Union Proposal #19 concerning Working Practices. Your Bargaining Committee continues to work toward a contract that will benefit our members.
