Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #15

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, Local 6171 Bargaining Committee worked on reviewing the information request data and the proposals from the company.
 
In the afternoon session, the Union and Company Committee met to address and discuss proposals. Verizon handed the Union one counter proposal. The Union did not have any at this time to present to the Company. At 7pm, your Committee will be on a town hall call to give a report on some of the major topics in these negotiations.
 
This is an election year and encourages everyone to get educated on the candidates. Also, make sure you vote. We need labor as well as middle class friendly politicians to get in office. Don’t forget to wear Red on Thursdays and Black on Fridays.
