Contract Ratified
The members of Local 6218 have ratified the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. It is a 4 year term that will start on October 16th, 2025 and expire on October 15th, 2029.
We were able to freeze the current cost share for the life of the contract for healthcare while increasing wages by 3% each year. We were able to add parental leave for the birth of a child while at the same time making improvements to the current bereavement leave. We were able to make improvements in vacation language while also improving Working Leader and Trainer differentials. These are just a few of the improvements that we were able to gain in this round of bargaining.
The Bargaining Team appreciates everyone that turned out and voted at the explanation meetings over the last two nights. In closing, the Bargaining Team would like to thank Dan Reynolds at our national headquarters for all of his hard work and dedication in helping us reach an agreement. This was a true team effort from the National, to the District 6 office in Austin, and all the way to our members who took time out of their schedules to help us achieve our goals.
