Verizon Southwest Bargaining Report #10

Today, Tuesday, July 24, 2012, Local 6171 Bargaining Committee met with the Company this morning to exchange proposals. The Union handed the Company 7 proposals. The Company returned 3 of their own. Your Bargaining Committee then returned back to the meeting room to evaluate and put more proposals together for the afternoon session with Verizon.

In the afternoon session the Company and the Union met again. The Union presented one proposal to the Company and the Company had none. A sub-committee for “work schedules” will meet with the Company in the morning to gather information in order to be able to pass a meaningful proposal if deemed necessary.
