Verizon Midwest Bargaining Report #7
The full committees met on Friday and over the weekend to continue bargaining. The Union presented a counter proposal on Cross Functional Work Share that we believe will strengthen job security in the bargaining unit over the life of the new agreement. The Company has continued to hammer the Union Committee on Attendance and the give backs they are wanting on waivers and days in waiting. A sub-committee will meet to discuss the issue today. This is the final week for bargaining and your CWA Bargaining Committee needs every member to participate in Mobilization activities EVERY DAY THIS WEEK to send a message to the Company that YOU will not settle for a substandard contract!!!
