Verizon Midwest Bargaining Report #10

Full bargaining resumed with a report from the Subcommittee formed to discuss attendance, vacation and personal holiday time use.  The Union Committee worked on modifying its proposal based on the feedback from the session.  Both sides agreed to discuss the impact of business needs on the quality of life for our members at Common Interest Forum as soon as practicable upon conclusion of negotiations so that ALL members have an opportunity to voice their concerns over recent changes in the center and give solutions to the challenges they face over the never ending mandatory over-time they have worked for more than one year.  The Union also presented a counter proposal to the Company on healthcare.  WE KNOW THE COMPANY CAN DO BETTER!!!!

Thanks to Local 6300 President Mike Mehringer and Mobilization Coordinator Kenny Bates for visiting the center to show their support and delivering sweet treats for our members.  Bargaining resumes Thursday morning.

WEAR RED TODAY AND BLACK TOMORROW.....TELL THE COMPANY WE WANT A BETTER DEAL THAN WHAT IS ON THE TABLE RIGHT NOW!!!!  WE DON'T DESERVE AND WILL NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS!!!!
