Verizon Bargaining Report #19
On Monday your Bargaining Committee met again with the Company to go over the
Healthcare proposal. We are still far apart on the premiums and out of pocket maximum. Also we
our still at odds over the COPE deduction. We still have several proposals the Company still hasn’t
addressed along with outstanding information requests they need to provide.
1) The Pension
2) Forced Adjustment Language
3) General Wage Increase
4) Scheduling
These are just a few of the items. We are asking that you reach out to your supervisor, ask them
if there has been an agreement reached and tell them you want a fair and just contract. Your
committee is here to bargain for the employees of this local. We will not be held hostage for what
they didn’t get in the East. Nor will we set precedent on retrogression, or any language that will be
used for future bargaining in other Districts.
