Southwest Electric Tentative Agreement
A new tentative agreement was reached late yesterday, December 18, 2012. Following is a summary of changes and improvements to this agreement:
• A five year agreement effective December 1, 2012 through November 30, 2017.
• The Union and Company agree to establish a new labor-management committee to address issues of mutual concern.
• The Company provided t-shirts may display the CWA logo.
• The Company will provide an annual stipend for safety footwear.
• Differential increase for leadmen.
• Wage improvements to base rates and reinstatement of merit based wage increase opportunities as well as retroactivity upon ratification.
• Addition of warehouse and stocker job title to Power Division.
• Contract reopener agreement in July 2015 for the purpose of discussions regarding Article 23-Insurance and Retirement Plans.
The CWA Bargaining Team will conduct explanation meetings for our members shortly.
Your CWA Bargaining Committee unanimously recommends ratification of this agreement.
