Southwest Electric Company Bargaining Report #1

The Company and Union began negotiations on Thursday, November 15 and continued through Friday, November 16, 2012. The parties exchanged initial proposals in these meetings and discussed the purpose and intent of each.

The Union's initial proposal package contained items regarding wages and wage related items, employment security, time off improvements, Union/Company relations, benefits and other various working conditions and miscellaneous concerns.

Your Union committee will work on proposals through this next week and the full committee will reconvene on Monday, November 26, 2012.

Your support during these negotiations is necessary.
