The Union and the Company met again on Wednesday May 11, 2011 at which time the Company responded to the Union’s proposals. The Company rejected most of the Union’s proposals from Monday. The Company is still proposing that if they move the warehouse in Paducah more that 25 miles the contract will terminate and the Union and the Company will go into effects bargaining.
The Company proposed keeping Dues Deduction and COPE, but now proposes a $2 charge to have the dues deducted from your paycheck. This charge would be paid by the employee.
The Company is still proposing the in Arbitration the loosing party pays the full cost of the hearing.
The Company has re-proposed that their policies on Attendance, Controlled Substance Testing, Drug Test Requirements, and Standards of Behavior, be apart of the contract.
On Monday the Union made a reasonable wage proposal on all titles, yesterday the Company advised your committee that they would be able to respond to the proposal this week since they had to forward the proposal to corporate.
The Union had expectations that the Company would provide a counter-proposal to our wage proposal so that the parties could continue to move forward in the bargaining process, but again there will be no wage proposal.
Your Union committee is in the process of reviewing all of the Company’s proposals and will respond to the Company when we complete our review.
