Multiband Bargainging Report #6
The Union and the Company met on Monday, May 9, 2011 and the Union provided proposals on what the Union believes to be all the open issues.
Proposals were made on the following items; Arbitration, Health Care, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and a full wage proposal was given to the Company for each job title.
The Union also rejected language proposed by the Company relating to dues deduction, call in procedure, funeral leave, drugs and alcohol, requirements of employees, Cope deductions and Company policies.
As some of you may be aware on Tuesday morning the Company discussed what the Union had proposed on Monday and covered all of the proposals. The rest of you as members can probably expect the same when you attend your meeting.
The Union’s wage proposal is a serious proposal and would help improve the earnings of each of you. We will see how the Company responds when we return to the table.
This is your contract, each of you needs to get involved and support YOUR bargaining committee.
