Mobility Bargaining Report #24
Your CWA Bargaining Committee met today with the Company. The Union Bargaining Committee spent last night reviewing the package the Company had presented to the Union. Today the Union Committee rejected the Company package calling it inadequate in every facet. The Union Committee put the Company on notice that it will not accept a contract loaded with retrogressive proposals. Time is running out and it is time for the Company to get serious.
The CWA Bargaining Committee presented to the Company a Counter Proposal Package. Included in the Counter Proposals are:
• A Wage Proposal
• Pension Proposals for both the banded pension and BCB2 pension
• A Proposal on the 401(k)
• Upgrades in the Call Centers
• Upgrades in the Information System Technician titles
• Upgrades in the Wireless Technician titles
• Upgrades in the MSC/RNOC titles
• Proposal to bring Health Care Benefits back into this Regional Agreement
• Quota Relief for Retail Sales Consultants

• New Grievance Procedure Language
• Job Vacancy Plan
• Safety Procedure in Company Facilities
• Overtime Improvements

• Inclement Weather Policy
• Improvements to Vacation Language

• The Elimination of Management Rights in the contract
• Establishment of a Benefit Representative
• Expedited Arbitration Resolution Process
• A Team Performance Award
The Union Committee presented over 1700 signatures on petitions to the Company today. The petitions stated that CWA Members support their Brothers and Sisters working at Mobility in achieving a fair contract. AT&T needs to rethink what is fair and just for the workers who have made Mobility a very successful Company. Wear Red tomorrow and tell your Manager you expect a good contract.
