Johnson Controls Final Bargaining Report

Your CWA Local 6171 Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce we have reached a two-year Tentative Agreement with Johnson Controls.  We appreciate everyone supporting the committee during these negotiations.  Below are some of the highlights of the TA.

  1.  2-year agreement
  2.  Retained current on-call pay
  3.  Retained current severance pay
  4.  Fought off company proposal of 60-minute drive time & company proposal of performance-based wage increases
  5.  Renewal of all side letters
  6.  General wage increases of 2.75% each year of the agreement with a $200.00 lump sum payment if ratified by 4/1/2020
  7.  Starting pay for schedule A and B is now $15

Please check back for the date and time of the upcoming contract explanation call that will be next week. Your ballots will also be sent out next week.  The voting process will be explained on the explanation call.
