Helena Labs Bargaining Report #4

 

First, the CWA Committee thanks everyone for participating in our Mobilization efforts!  Thanks for wearing CAMO on Wednesday and RED today in support of us. The joint committees have been meeting over the last week to discuss major concerns.  The Company presented a proposal on healthcare and wages.  The healthcare portion calls for increases in deductibles, office visit copay, prescriptions, urgent care and emergency room copay.  The wage increase proposed for a 5 year contract is at 2%, 1.5%, 1%, 1%, 1%.  The Company claims there is an attendance problem, however, has rejected our proposal on increases to vacation time and sick pay time.  Our proposals REMAIN on the table!  We have told the Company increases in paid time off and a significant wage increase are what we are looking for, along with improvements in other areas of the contract.  We are hard at work today reviewing the Company proposals and preparing our response to demand fairness!  WEAR CAMO NEXT WEDNESDAY!!!!    RED ON THURSDAY!!!!
