GRM Networks Final Bargaining Report

 

The Union reached a Tentative Agreement with GRM Networks on March 16, 2015.  Duration April 1, 2015 – April 30, 2019-4 year term Company GHP Contribution .5% of payroll-2016 .5% of payroll-2017 .5% of payroll-2018 .5% of payroll-2019 Wages •1st Year 2% •2nd Year2% •3rd Year2% •4th Year1% Vacation Service 5.6On a trial basis for the length of this contract, up to one (1) week of day- at-a-time vacation may be taken in four (4) hour increments, with prior approval of the Company.  Both parties agree to review during the next contract negotiations to determine if the four (4) hour vacation increments shall continue or if charges are needed. Sickness and Off the job accidents 6.1Provisions in Article 6 are intended to provide benefits to employees, who for the reasons implied, are unable to work.  While receiving those benefits, employees shall conduct their activities in a responsible manner conducive to recovery and subsequent return to work, if possible. Employees collecting benefits under this Article will not work at another job until after they have returned to work at GRM Networks, or they will forfeit any payment under this Article beginning with the date the employee first works at the other job. Bereavement Leave 7.8In case of death, time off with pay shall be granted as provided for in the schedule below: a.The necessary time off for the death of a spouse, parent, step-parent, grandparent, child, step-child, grandchild, brother, step-brother, sister, step-sister of an employee, or the same relative of the employee's spouse, legally recognized dependent,  and any other relative residing in the immediate household for the day of the death to, and including the day after the funeral not to exceed four (4) working days plus necessary travel time to attend the funeral not to exceed two (2) working days. Additional time off, without pay, may be granted. c.   The necessary time off to attend the funeral not to exceed one (1) day for the death of an uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, or first cousin of the employee, or to attend the funeral of a deceased employee. Additional time off, without pay, may be granted.  d. The necessary time off to serve as an active pallbearer, not to exceed one (1) day per occasion and two (2) occasions in a calendar year.  Additional time off, without pay, may be granted.  Employee Telephone Service 19.1d.  Employee Television Services All regular full time employees, including retired employees residing in a Company exchange shall be entitled: 1.Television services and or Skitter at a reduced rate, not to exceed Company cost (Each where readily available). Medical Expense Plan 20.1Throughout the life of this agreement, the Company shall offer medical and dental program choices as made available by NTCA and agreed upon under the Group Health Plan Review Committee process established in Appendix A a health program equal to the total benefit level provided for in the National   Telecommunications Cooperative Association Group Health Plan AAA at the deductible rate of $500 single, $1000 family with dental at the deductible of $75 single, $150 family to be known as the GHP to all regular full time employees (upon 180 90 days of continuous employment)* and certain dependents as defined in the GHP and retired on pension employees only.   Such participation cost shall be paid as indicated below. Those costs mentioned above that are not paid by the Company will be passed on to the employee by way of payroll deduction and/or billed monthly to the retired employees.  If the “Weekly Company Contribution to Employee GHP Cost” exceeds the actual weekly cost of the GHP coverage (medical and dental or medical only) selected by the employee, the difference will be retained by the Company.  If the Company and Group Health Plan review Committee agree to offer and HDHP, they will discuss the possibility of sharing the difference. The “Weekly Company Contribution” includes the 1% of payroll that was applied to the GHP cost beginning in 2006, in exchange for no longer reimbursing employees for their noon meals. Effective 3/29/2015, the minimum weekly employee contribution for medical and/or dental coverage is $.25 per week. 20.4     For those employees hired 3-29-2009 through 3-30-2019 and later with twenty-five (25) or more years of service, the Company shall pay 100 percent of the single only GHP coverage for the life of the retired employee subject to negotiations.  For those employees hired 3-29-2009 through 3-30-2019 and later with twenty (20) or more years of service, the Company shall pay 50 percent of the single only GHP coverage for the life of the retired employee subject to negotiations.  For those employees hired 3-29-2009 through 3-30-2019 and later with less than twenty (20) years of service, the retired employee will be responsible for the full cost of any GHP coverage elected subject to negotiations. 20.5     For those employees hired 3/30/2019 and later, the retired employee will be responsible for the full cost of any GHP coverage elected subject to negotiations. 20.9Those employees hired 3-29-2009 through 3-30-2019   and later and retiring with twenty-five (25) or more years of service, upon attainment of age 65 shall be reimbursed part “B” Social Security premium in the amount applicable.  Those employees hired 3-29-2009 through 3-30-2019  and later with twenty (20) or more years of service, upon attainment of age 65 shall be reimbursed 50 percent of the part “B” Social Security premium in the amount applicable.  Those employees hired 3-29-2009 through 3-30-2019   and later and retiring with less than twenty (20) years of service will not be reimbursed for the part “B” Social Security premium. 20.10   For those employees hired 3-29-2009 through 3-30-2019 and later, the retired employee will not be reimbursed for the part “B” Social Security premium.
