Frontier Bargaining Report #76

10/28/2022

Brothers and Sisters,

The sub-committees met today to continue the discussion on a way for employees to become qualified for higher paying titles. This has been a very productive and positive dialogue.  So much so, that the Union reduced a couple of ideas to writing for the company to consider over this topic.

With the extension expiration looming this evening, and after a positive week with the company and seeing progress being made, we have extended the contract again until December 9, 2022.

The local has done a great job in getting the company to resolve the healthcare issue and everyone with the PPO plan should have an email from Frontier Benefits explaining the correction. Below we have posted it for you in case you do not have access at home to your email:

Good Day,

We were notified late yesterday afternoon that due to programing issues at our Benefits Service Center vendor, your medical, prescription drug and vision coverage was terminated inadvertently.

Your coverage has been retroactively reinstated and if you look at your current coverage on www.frontierbenefitscenter.com you will see your correct 2022 benefits coverage.

The Benefits Service Center is working with the insurance carriers (Anthem, Express Scripts and EyeMed) to reinstate your coverage with no gaps in coverage.  While they are working to reinstate your benefits, if you or a covered family member needs to seek care today/this weekend, we ask that you contact us directly atFrontier.Benefits.Team@ftr.com and we will have a member of the insurance companies to speak directly with the provider(s) to let them know that your enrollment is intact.

In the event you paid, or will be paying for any services from your pocket, please let us know and we will ask the insurance companies to reprocess your claim(s) in their system once the update is completed and assist you to get a refund from the provider(s).

We apologize for any confusion and frustration caused by this error.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
The Frontier Benefits Department

Please have a safe and relaxing weekend and continue your mobilization.

In Unity,
The Bargaining Committee
