Brothers and Sisters,

Your committee spent the day preparing the Union's points to discuss in sub-committees the need for training opportunities to prepare the membership for the future to avoid getting bypassed due to the company having NO FORMAL TRAINING PROGRAM causing you to become stagnant in your current title and not being able to move to a higher wage schedule. When you bid on a job, the company gives you a subjective interview that is not in the CBA and then deems you not qualified for a job but has no avenue for you to become qualified regardless if you are the senior bidder or not.  The next two days will be spent with the company trying to devise a program to address this travesty and make you ready for the future as more of an asset to the company. 

While our days have been long, our commitment to bringing a fair and equitable contract to the membership remains at the forefront of our endeavor.
