Frontier Bargaining Report #69

10/19/2022

Brothers and Sisters,

Another email some of you have received from someone not at the table in negotiations:

Greg: Team,

Greg: Negotiations continue in Texas. The contracts have been extended through October 28.

Union Committee: This was reported out by the Union when it happened last week.

Greg: Since we last updated you, we presented our second comprehensive settlement offer which addresses important issues like medical coverage for active employees and options for banked vacation balances. We have made some progress with the CWA on these items and will update you again soon.

Union Committee: The company did pass another 100+ pages of what they consider a settlement offer. Do not let that fool you as it was still full of Healthcare increases, retiree medical concessions and very restrictive Work at Home proposal with laughable and substandard wage increases. Fiossm Jobs of the Future remains a TOP PRIORITY to delete as the company wants to hide the enormous amount of contracting under something they are no longer able to use. The vacation banking is set to end on December 31, 2022, (a retrogressive action the company made in the 2018 negotiations) and the Union made a proposal to make changes to the vacation banking. Another thing the company is trying to make appear as their idea. IT WAS NOT!

The Union called a meeting with the company late this afternoon to TA a Union proposal regarding Holidays, Article 8. It is redacted but we wanted you to see that the Union proposed changes, specifically, increasing the amount of them. It is posted below. Wonder if Greg will try to take credit for this. The Union also passed a counter to Healthcare, a retrogressive proposal that was passed by the company on 7/21/22. The last thing we gave the company today was a very long list of questions provided by the members regarding the SVPs emails.

Even as a proposal was agreed to today, we are still quite a ways apart from reaching a deal to send out to be voted on.

It is extremely important to continue your mobilization activities. Please send any mobilization ideas to cwa6171mobilization@gmail.com for us to plan.

Tomorrow is Thursday, wear your RED! We are getting a lot of shoddy contractor pics from across the country. Continue to send in what you see in Texas. The company cannot deny it when we show it to them. We continue to fight for an agreement for us all. Not for shareholders or hedge funds. https://cwaunion.wufoo.com/forms/frontier-shoddy-contractor-photos/
