Frontier Bargaining Report #46

September 16, 2022

Sisters & Brothers,

Your Union Committee met with the company today in a joint session. The company passed a proposal package for settlement that falls extremely short of the best interest of their employees and what you put in your surveys. The company continues to nickel & five dollar these proposals with no real attempt to reach a fair settlement. The false negotiations are alive and well from the company in the Union's eyes. The hard work & dedication you have shown throughout the bankruptcy & emergence as well as your continuing efforts to make the fiber build out a success along with caring for our customers has been noticed by the company but ignored by them in the form of wages, benefits and working conditions. We were told today in a session that it's their money! The Union made clear to the company that we can see how they like to spend $48 Million on Stratton and $17 Million on the current CEO who still has not appeared at the bargaining table but is very vocal from his keyboard on Yammer. Now the company wants to start putting out bargaining reports after 9 weeks of bargaining to try and control the narrative. What they have put out so far has been mostly inaccurate. We know the only thing they care about is contractors, shareholders and paying fines for cheating, lying and allowing unsafe working practices from shoddy contractors. We have cordially invited them to the table and that chair remains empty. Despite the predictability of what the company's play today was going to be, we remained unphased by it and will still do what is right by the membership. Even the company today said a certain proposal was a diminishment of a benefit when asked this by the Union. He was honest when he said "Yes". They even tried to take credit for a proposal that the Union presented in July. In good faith, we will thoroughly review the company's proposal, but we will not accept a contract that does not give the members their fair share.

In Unity,
The Bargaining Committee
