Today we met with the company and passed several more Union proposals and continued asking clarifying questions. The company is continuing to be counterproductive, evasive, and deceptive causing us to be unable to make any significant progress at the table. We were encouraged to see Nick’s report on the positive second quarter results today only because of your hard work. If only we could get the company to acknowledge we are the backbone of the company and should be compensated with a living wage and other benefits. A late breaking rumor was that the company is going to stop accepting copper orders effective today in all wire centers in Texas. All members need to ask your manager if this is true.
