Frontier Bargaining Report #12
8/04/22
Sisters and Brothers,
We are two short days away from expiration and the company has slow-walked us on information requests and minimal movement on any Union proposals. A prime example of this is they do not want you to be able to be proud of your Union by allowing Red shirts on Thursdays if you are participating in the business attire program. Most of today was spent on going over the approximately 75 MOAs in the contract trying to see which we want to renew, delete or make modifications to. When we weren't working on that, we were preparing proposals to meet with the company in the morning.
The company again has trickled in a couple of information requests throughout the day with the responses being inadequate and painted with a broad brush. We will have further discussion over the medical and if Texas is the reason for the proposed substantial increases.
We are holding the company's feet to the fire with their asks at the table which appears that they cannot substantiate it but are quick to say other corporations have increases as well. We all know we are here to bargain a UNION contract with Frontier, not with other corporations. With that said, the committee will continue into the night to hopefully get the company to do the right thing for its employees.
Please work to rule, do it safely and ask your manager if they value you as an employee. If they say yes, tell them to tell Rick Carpenter, Cort Petterson, Wayne Via and Todd Brooks to give you a fair contract.
In Solidarity,
The Bargaining Committee
