Sisters and Brothers,

The bargaining committee posted the link on the Local's Facebook page to the District 9 agreement reached in California should you want to review it. The committee once again reviewed it to see if there was anything in it we would like to try and adopt into our agreement.

We also gave the company an information request regarding pension survivor benefits that are currently only being paid out at 65% if the employee dies before collecting their pension. If 100% of the money is in the pension fund for the employee to collect while alive, why would it not be paid out at 100% to the surviving beneficiaries? There is no additional money needed to be put into the fund in our opinion. We just want all the employee has accrued to be paid out to their beneficiaries.

We will review the information once provided by the company.
