Dish Bargaining Report

The Company and the Union met today virtually to resume bargaining.   CWA’s intent was trying to close the gap on the outstanding proposals in hopes of reaching a fair and just first contract for our members.  As most of you know, we have been working diligently to negotiate the first contract for our Dish members that is long overdue.  Unfortunately, during our bargaining preparations meeting with the CWA bargaining team, we found out that one of our technicians had been exposed to COVID.  Accordingly, the Union’s first item on the agenda was requesting information regarding the safety of our members at Dish.  CWA asked numerous questions regarding the way the Company handled this COVID exposure.  We discussed other important items and have scheduled a Dish bargaining unit conference call for Thursday, August 6 at 7:30 p.m.  Please make every attempt to join this call as important information will be shared with all participants. 

At the conclusion of today’s bargaining session, the Union notified the Company that we would be submitting our Request for Information in writing to them by the end of the day.  We also requested for the Company to provide future dates to resume negotiations.
