dex∙yp Effects Bargaining Report #1
The Union and Company met August 30th and 31st, 2017, in Austin, Texas, for the purpose of conducting “effects bargaining” over the impact to the employees as a result of the DEX acquisition of YP. After two (2) full days of discussing the company’s plans to cut the sales force in half, circumventing contractual language by populating a new job title with former managers without notifying the Union, to implement a new comp plan for those managers and work coming from Madison Heights, MI, we were unable to reach any agreements.
As a result of the Company’s positions and blatant violations of the collective bargaining agreement, the Union was left with no choice but to file charges against the Company with the National Labor Relations Board.
The contract extension will expire on December 13, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. (CST).
CONTINUE TO WEAR RED EVERY THURSDAY UNTIL WE GET A CONTRACT!!!
