D6 CWA/CenturyLink Local 6174 Settlement Agreement
The members of Local 6174 have voted unanimously to ratify the CWA/CenturyLink Settlement Agreement. Retroactive wages will be paid out as soon as practicable. New contract books will be made available as soon as they can be printed and shipped. The Bargaining Committee thanks all of you for your sustained efforts during the bargaining process. Highlights of the Settlement Agreement:
3 year agreement
Base wage increase 2010 - 1%; 2011 - 1%; 2012 - 2%
Retroactivity to October 1, 2010 on wages
Pension band increases in line with wage increases
EIPP - You may now elect to take lump sum or installment payments
Improvements to: In-charge differential, meal allowance, night differential, termination allowance, paid bargaining leave for 3 committee members up to 40 hours
Maintained Accident and Sickness pay with Worker's Compensation and Sickness Pay on separate schedules
Maintained benefit plans, new language on how benefits are negotiated
Incentive and Recognition - No sales quota requirements under the referral program
Job Vacancy language that requires the Company to attempt to fill vacancies internally before using other sources
New language on Work Rules, Job Classification, Force Adjustment, and an MOA on IPTV work acknowledging it as bargaining unit work subject to the provisions on contractors
Changes to language on Sunday Pay Premium, Holiday Pay Premium, No strike, Grievance & Arbitration
