CWA/Consolidated Bargaining Report #2
The Communications Workers of America Bargaining Committee continued formal negotiations with Consolidated Communications at 8:00 a.m.
As formal negotiations continue both the parties have presented numerous proposal for review and consideration. Tentative agreements were reached on the following articles: Sunday Premium Pay, improved language for meetings, and the Seniority Article. New language was negotiated that provides an Annual Performance Bonus based on Company performance. Tentative agreements also include Memorandums of Understanding pertaining to Participative Management, Employee Involvement (PMEI), and “Responsible Union-Company Relationship.” The Union Committee plans to meet on Tuesday in preparation for formal negotiations, which will commence on Wednesday, February 22, at 8:00 a.m.
We are still in the early stages of the bargaining process and the Company has already presented negative proposals, which include take backs!
Once again, it is extremely important that we participate at 100% in all of our Mobilization activity as we continue negotiations with the Company. WE MUST STAND STRONG AND UNITED IN OUR FIGHT FOR A FAIR AND JUST CONTRACT!
UNITED WE BARGAIN…………………DIVIDED WE BEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
