CWA/AT&T SW Bargaining Report #12
The Union Bargaining team met with the Company today.
The Company passed the following proposals during this morning’s session: Incentive Plans counter, Basis of Comp (adding back in Operating employees), reintroduced MOA on temp upgrades of Prem Techs, Appendix J Work Apparel (keeping language the same), Appendix J Monitoring (keeping language the same), MOA Internal/Appeal Process (wanting to cap back pay at 1 year if we win an arbitration), Appendix J Global Positioning Language (keeping language the same), Appendix J Home Dispatch (keeping language the same), Article XII (General Application) - Training Retraining (keeping language the same), Article XI (General Application) - Common Interest Forum (keeping language the same), Article V (General Application) - Expedited Arbitration (keeping language the same), and Counter on notification of Contractor work.
The Union passed proposals for renewal of the full Strategic Alliance SW Region Agreement, and continuation of notification of the Tight Labor Market Wage Credit.
After a long Union caucus working through proposals, we met this evening and passed a counter to the incentive plan language and a counter to the contractor notification language.
Additionally, the Union & Company Tentatively Agreed to the following this evening:
- Article XV - Temporary Work in Higher Positions (current language)
- Article X (General Application) - Technology Change (current language)
- Appendix J - Supplemental Statement 15 - Work Apparel (current language)
- Appendix J - Supplemental Statement 19 - Home Dispatch (current language)
- Article XII (General Application) - Training/Retraining (Current Language)
- Article XI (General Application) - Common Interest Forums (Current Language)
- Article V (General Application) - Expedited Arbitration (Current Language)
Our next scheduled meeting with the Company is tomorrow, and we will follow up with a new bargaining report afterwards.
