CWA/Apple Retail Bargaining Report #5 Penn Square Location, Oklahoma City, OK

Union Family,

Today the CWA Bargaining team continued negotiations with the Apple Bargaining team in Oklahoma City, OK. Due to conflicting schedules, it’s been seven long weeks since we last met on June 7, 2023.

With that being said, we had what we considered our most productive day in the bargaining process so far! After a lot of productive conversations and reaching common ground, we were able to reach three tentative agreements. They are as follows:

  1. Language that fully recognizes the employees in the Penn Square store as “Union” employees defined in the opening article of the contract
     
  2. Language that establishes a Joint Health & Safety Committee to meet quarterly, including Ad HOC meetings should the need arise between scheduled meetings
     
  3. Language that will place a Union Bulletin Board (provided by the Company), that will be 4’ by 3’ to post important Union Notices and Contact Info for Representation. 

Items 2 & 3 are huge contractual wins for us at the table for our future progress and success!

Tomorrow we will meet again for this scheduled two day session, and will be receiving a presentation from a specialized Apple manager in relation to our scheduling and vacation proposals. 

We continue to plug away as a Committee in getting the best contract language possible to make your personal lives and careers better!

In closing, we are at the early stages of planning an August 22 (Start of Day 7) mobilization activity. Stay connected to the bargaining team to put out more details after next Tuesday.
