CWA Local 6218/Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report Final

After five weeks of very tough negotiating, CWA 6218’s Bargaining Committee reached a Tentative Agreement on the 2022 contract with Consolidated Communications! We are very happy with the end result and unanimously recommend ratification. Here are some of the highlights:

  • 2.25% raise in 2022, 2023, and 2024
  • Retained affordable Healthcare
  • Raised the top pay on our lowest paid job title, Cable Locator by over $3.00
  • Created a new Broadband Installer technician title with a competitive wage
  • Increased Performance Bonus by $25 each year
  • Added a safety footwear allowance of $175
  • Added stronger language on Bereavement time
  • Added more transparency on work schedules for WFH employees
  • Retained MOA that forces the Company to hire full-time probationary Employees into the Customer Service Representative Job title after their 180 day probationary period

    We will be hosting two contract explanation/ratification vote meetings this week:

    On Wednesday, October 19th at 6:30pm we will be in Conroe

    On Thursday, October 20th at 6:00pm we will be in Lufkin

    Please come to either meeting for the explanation and to vote on the new contract!
