CWA Local 6218/Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #8

The Union and Company continued negotiations in person on 9-21-22.

We passed our initial wage proposal this morning by pointing out key factors related to our Techs working thru the Pandemic with no hazard or increased pay while putting their lives at risk, the projected increased cost of Healthcare, and the current inflation rate our Members are dealing with that is over 8% on a daily basis.

The Company passed additional data to support their position that increased deductibles would lower the overall cost an employee would pay per paycheck based on their current projections for 2023.

Finally, the Union spent the afternoon analyzing the data that was passed to us, and we are working with the Research Department before we submit our counter proposal on Health Care.

Our next scheduled bargaining session is in person on Thursday, September 22nd.

Remember the Contract expires at midnight on October 15, 2022.
