CWA Local 6218/Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #3

The Union and the Company met yesterday in person for the final time this week. We reached a Tentative Agreement on language allowing employees to access the same posted schedules working from home as they would be able to working at a worksite. This has been an ongoing issue since the pandemic started as employees began working from home. This should go a long way in helping to fix that issue.

We also reached a tentative agreement on Article 17 regarding employees being able to take up to three scheduled days off for funeral time as needed. This new language should also eliminate anyone from being told they cannot get up to three scheduled days off if requested.

The rest of the day was spent looking at data that has been provided so far by the Company on our request for information. We still have a long way to go, however the Company understands the Union’s bargaining request before them, and has committed to getting the necessary data to respond.

Our next scheduled bargaining session will be virtually on Tuesday, September 6.

Remember the Contract expires at midnight on October 15th, 2022.
