CWA Local 6218/Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #2

The Company has passed proposals so far regarding Healthcare (benefits), Group Life Insurance, Holidays, Grievance & Arbitration language, and adding a new title into the bargaining unit called a Broadband Installer.

The Union passed proposals so far based on bargaining requests received by the Bargaining team that would improve on several Articles including, access to employees working from home, improvements on vacation and holiday language, limiting contractors after 90 days, improvements to wages, and improvements to the apparel language to name a few.

The CWA District 6 & Local 6218 Bargaining team spent most of yesterday working on requests for information on these proposals passed by the Company on day one and met in the afternoon with additional questions and information requests. We are scheduled to meet this morning and will follow up with a bargaining report this evening.

Remember the Contract expires at midnight on October 15, 2022.
