CWA Local 6218/Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #17
After five weeks and a very long day of going back and forth with the Company, the CWA 6218 Bargaining Committee is proud to announce we have reached a Tentative Agreement!
Some of the highlights include:
Pay Raises
2.25% on October 16, 2022 (Year 1)
2.25% on October 16, 2023 (Year 2)
2.25% on October 16, 2024 (Year 3)
An additional significant raise for our lowest paid job title (Cable Locator), a new bargained for Broadband Technician position, improvement in the annual bonus amount; we also fought off significant increases to employee healthcare, gained an additional benefit for those required to wear safety footwear, and maintained language ensuring contractors in the call center can become employees in this CBA after 180 days.
The Committee spent over five weeks working together to achieve what we believe is a very good contract! The Local will be scheduling contract explanation meetings next week followed by the ratification vote.
