CWA Local 6218/Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #12

The Union and Company continued negotiations virtually on 10-6-22.

We spent the morning presenting a package proposal that would improve personal holidays, face to face Union Orientation, and grievance language.

This afternoon we received a comprehensive package from the Company that included everything that has been TA’d so far, additional proposals for other items the Company is looking to get (most are retrogressive), and their opening wage proposal (which is very low). It did not address some of the important issues we have brought to the table which included access to new hires.

One thing is for sure, we have a lot of work to do to get to a Tentative Agreement by the deadline.

Our next bargaining session is next week on Tuesday, October 11th in person. Remember the Contract expires next Saturday, October 15th at midnight.
