CWA Local 6218/Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #11

The Union and Company continued negotiations virtually on 10-5-22.

The Union Committee worked almost the entire day on the proposal for the new title Broadband Installer and their wages. After a lot of blood, sweat, and tears we were able to reach a TA after multiple discussions and work on counter proposals to address what we deemed were issues. This is a huge win as much of this work is being performed by Contractors currently!

We had some discussion on the Company’s Healthcare proposal and the impact it could possibly have on our members if we accepted the current proposal on the table.

We plan to meet one more time this week, tomorrow, in hopes of agreeing on remaining items outside of Healthcare and Wages.

Our next final bargaining session this week is virtually on Thursday, October 6th.
