CWA Local 6218 Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report # 10
The Union and Company continued negotiations virtually on 10-4-22. Both parties recognized all proposals that are still open in respects to the midnight deadline looming on 10-15-22.
The Company passed two package proposals that bundled together some proposals that have been discussed in previous sessions. We are carefully looking at both package proposals, as we would have to agree to everything in each package or it is voided.
Healthcare and Wages remain our two biggest obstacles leading into tomorrow and continue to look at a lot of data why we wait for the Company to counter our wage proposal.
We did reach a TA on redating the MOA regarding staffing in Customer Service, which is important in that title reaching a permanent status in the collective bargaining agreement.
We will continue tomorrow morning working through their package proposals and working on potentially countering a few key items.
Finally we continue to remain optimistic that we will reach a TA by the deadline; however we have a lot of open proposals that need to be resolved to get there.
Our next scheduled bargaining session is virtually on Wednesday, October 5th.
