Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #7
There was no movement today on two proposals on the table, Health Care and Pension. Much of today’s discussions were on the cost share premium the Company wants employees to pay. It is the Union’s positions the Company’s request is too costly and the CWA committee stood on our counter proposal that is fair. Our members should not be burden with high premiums. Negotiations were recessed till next Tuesday, October 12, when the Company asked for additional time to review the Union’s counter proposals on Health Care and Pension.
The Union Bargaining Committee would ask the membership to wear RED every day next week as we head to the contract deadline October 15.
