Consolidated Communications Bargaining Report #1
Negotiations began September 21, 2010 in Conroe, Texas with Consolidated Communications of Texas. CWA represents about 185 bargained for employees at Consolidated Communications in the Lufkin/Conroe area. The Union and the Company exchanged proposals and briefly discussed each issue. The Union proposals include improved wages, healthcare benefits, seniority rights, work week scheduling, holiday, pension, sickness and disability benefits. The Company wants to change termination pay, job vacancy, phone concessions, CO qualifications, post retirement benefits, force adjustment, healthcare benefits, 4/10 tours, CSR work from home. The meeting was recessed at 6:00pm and the Committee will meet with the Company again on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
Contract expires October 15, 2010 at 11:59 pm.
