Final Bargaining Report

May 10, 2017 

Local 6218 leadership conducted contract explanation meetings with members on Monday and Tuesday evenings, May 8 and 9, 2017.  After the Bargaining Committee explained the changes agreed upon in the tentative agreement reached by the parties on May 4, 2017, ratification votes were held at the conclusion of each meeting.  Once voting was completed Tuesday evening, the Local Election Committee counted the ballots and advised that the membership had ratified the agreement.  Once the result was known, Local President Darrell Novark notified District 6 Administrative Director Mark Franken of the result and he, in turn, immediately notified the Company chairrperson.

Once again, your Bargaining Committee wishes to acknowledge and thank the members who have shown their support and patience throughout these protracted negotiations, particularly those who stepped up and demonstrated their support and desire to get a fair contract from the Company.
