Consolidated Communications of Texas Company Bargaining Report #19
CWA District 6 and your CWA Bargaining Committee wanted to make sure our members of Local 6218 are up to date on the latest news regarding the negotiating between CWA and Consolidated Communications.
On December 18, 2019, a scheduled bargaining date, Consolidated Communications refused to come to the bargaining table. Your Union Bargaining Committee was ready with counter proposals to meet and confer with Consolidated Communicaitons. The Company refused because they wanted the Union Bargaining Committee to remove retro wages and contract language from the table without even reviewing the Union's counter proposals.
These actions by the Company are unfair labor practices. The Union has filed unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board against Consolidated Communications.
We will update you with further information as it develops.
In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee
